The trollsaga

The trollsaga is not a series, but separate books with individual stories and new main characters. You can read which book you like in any order. However, the books follow the same timeline, so a few things that happened in Luna, are mentioned in Sol. It's also possible for a character from one book to show up in another.
In the beginning of every book, there's an excerpt from an old grimoire - a textbook - called Solar et luna. This is originally written in an old language that no one uses anymore, called Gammalmål (old language). The title means Sun and moon. No one knows how old it is, or who wrote it. All we know is that it was translated by master Konkordia in the year 473. In th books we'll read about how trolls can get magical powers from celestial bodies like the sun and moons, or fenomenon like northern lights. Solar et luna explains some of these magical powers.
The first book Luna elementum is in the year 1146 in the troll world.
The books contain a map of the four troll countries: Mariana, Valen, Norda and Dunheim. The plan is to write four books - one from each country. The maps will be filled more and more for each book, as we get to know each country.
The books are written for middle-graders, 10-13 years. But are also popular with adults, and for reading for the younger children.
